Installation Engineer

Location: Centred around Oxford (Comfortable with working in London/flexibility to travel nationally/overnight stays on occasions)

Salary: £30,000 - £43,000 PA DOE, with potential to earn up to £50,000 PA

Installing security systems  (Access, Intruder, CCTV & FIRE) on both residential and commercial properties - high-end stately homes, large multi-million-pound properties, historic buildings, large commercial properties and public buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing various intruder, CCTV and Fire and access control systems both locally and nationally as per successful quote conversions by the sales team.
• Commissioning of fire systems (if qualified)
• Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details such as the causes and consequences of false alarms.
• Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance of fire alarm systems and all other security systems
• Understanding the clients’ needs and fulfilling all jobs required
• Updating documentation including site schematics/drawings (if applicable)
• Applying updates and accurate descriptions of works completed via SIMPRO to inform office of progress. Securing signatures from client of completed works.
• Occasional work away to support the successful completion of projects

Requirements:

• Competence across Access (ACT365, Paxton), Intruder (Texecom, Galaxy, Ajax), CCTV (Avigilon, Hikvision, Ava), and Fire (Apollo, Advanced, Hochiki, C-Tec) systems.
• Proven track record of hands-on experience, with qualifications highly desirable but not essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

What We Offer:

• Base salary of between £30 - £43K PA DOE
• Door to Door inclusive of hours
• Overtime for any hours worked over 40 offering opportunity to earn up to £50K PA (x1.5 of salary)
• Overnight (inconvenience payment) £25 per night when staying away
• Own vehicle (Van/Caddy) with option to use privately
• Training & Development courses including IPAF and ECS
• 20 days holiday rising to 25 (1 day per years’ service)
